How this works: The CFM target is sized from your cooktop's width and fuel, with an island penalty because crossdrafts steal capture. If your package already holds a cooktop or range, its exact specs (including gas BTU when on file) drive the target instead. A hood's size is matched by nominal width: a 35.75-inch hood is a 36-inch hood. Always confirm final numbers against the manufacturer's installation guide before you order.
