The most common dishwasher disaster is height: new floors go in, and suddenly the old opening is a quarter inch too short. Measure, tell me, and I'll sort it.

The shaded zone is the collision. The rule of thumb from the showroom floor: leave at least a 2-3″ filler between a dishwasher and a corner, more if the handle is a pro-style bar.
